On Wednesday, July 23, Greenacres Fire Rescue held a Change of Command Ceremony, a time-honored tradition that symbolizes the formal transfer of leadership within the department.

This significant event marked the transition from Fire Chief Brian Fuller to Fire Chief Phillip Konz.

Chief Fuller has led Greenacres Fire Rescue with dedication and distinction for the past four years. Under his leadership, the department achieved major milestones in safety, training, and community service.

Both of these publications offer guidelines, checklists and contact information to assist you in preparing for and dealing with an emergency weather situation. In addition, links to several agencies that offer information as well as resources for specific assistance is provided.

Greenacres Fire Rescue Residential Lock Box program allows participants to safely leave a key on their front door in a small, safe-like box that can be accessed with a master key that only firefighters have. That means firefighters can get in quickly after a medical emergency or fall.

The boxes cost about $40.50 plus shipping fees.
